Strategies for working through that that will facilitate the client to become “un-stuck.”  Use the categories and descriptions of the voice issues from class.  In terms of slides (saved under “Files” within CANVAS.  Identify the “voice” obstacles from the client videos (listed in the slides). This will help guide your understanding of the therapy process issue for each client.  Specifically, the list of these can be found with the following slide titles:

  • Verbal Fluency for Clinicians: Defining Characteristics
  • Laura Rice’s Patterns of Vocal Quality in Psychotherapy
  • Laura Rice: Patterns of Vocal Quality in Psychotherapy

List your group’s notes within the “Discussion” Tab of CANVAS
2.  Next, video record your intervention for 2-3 different clients that have different or unique Voice issues.  Use these unique voice issues to inform how you speak to the client.  Identify the client’s name and the voice issue within your video (submitted privately within CANVAS) for evaluation.
